Every wonder why those close to you have the most difficulty understanding you sometimes.

I do.

I have concluded, it is not them, but me.

I assumed their knowledge of me helped them to hear and see me clearly.

However, their knowledge of me clouded their opinion and visual of who I had become.

Or their image of me no longer lined up with the visual before their eyes.

In either case, I am willing to re-acquaint myself with you, if you are willing to re-acquaint yourself with me.

Blinders off, clothes off, insecurities off, walls down, veils down, and come willing to really experience who we each are beyond the shrouds of darkness we covered ourselves in out of fear of discovery.
