fort-point-arches - Writing ChallengeIn response to Daily Post’s Weekly Writing Challenge found here: http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2014/02/03/inspiration-images-1000-words/

The original short story has been removed. I decided to publish it through Amazon’s KDP and Amazon does not allow simultaneous digital publishing.
You can find the Amazon Kindle version here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B015S6NZ2U

Based on a work entitled Emptiness (Image only by Cheri Lucas Rowlands) found at http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2014/02/03/inspiration-images-1000-words/.

  3. very poetic. Me like. What stood out to me is “Mostly, because she relished in complacency, because it offered less opportunity for disappointment…” a feeling that is not only relatable but is seen as a whole in society.

    • That means more than I can write here. Karen’s story was purposefully written in such a way that it is opened to the readers’ interpretation. So many times, I see content slanted one way or the another with little thought to the diversity of the audience. I enjoyed reading your take. Thanks for being my first commenter as well. So giddy right now.
