very poetic. Me like. What stood out to me is “Mostly, because she relished in complacency, because it offered less opportunity for disappointment…” a feeling that is not only relatable but is seen as a whole in society.

That means more than I can write here. Karen’s story was purposefully written in such a way that it is opened to the readers’ interpretation. So many times, I see content slanted one way or the another with little thought to the diversity of the audience. I enjoyed reading your take. Thanks for being my first commenter as well. So giddy right now.
