I am the lighthouse. The sailors cannot find dry ground if I do not shine.
The lost cannot find the way if I do not chart the path.
This is our faith.
This is our teaching.
This is our burden.
And, this is our reward.
When the light dims, it is either replaced or it goes out.
Yet, energy is never lost, it can only be transformed.

Day 233: Being Right
No human is ever 100% right all the time. None of the prophets were 100% right all of the time. The disciples were not 100% right all the time. It is okay to be wrong sometimes, for it is where our humility lives.
Jesus was even corrected at least once according to the written account of his time with the disciples.
Our mistake is thinking when we find or learn we are wrong that we should hide it. Instead, acknowledge it, embrace it, learn from it, and then let it go.
You are not God even though you were made in his image. An image is rarely an exact replication of the original.

Day 229: People of Faith
As people of Faith, we occasionally endure situations or people unnecessarily. I surmise we confuse longsuffering with the power of faith.
Jesus experienced longsuffering as he prepared the disciples to carry on his God News Message.
Yet, he cursed the stubborn fig tree refusing to bear fruit and suffered no more.
In both cases, neither were ready to produce. Neither had reached the time for return on investment.
Yet, the disciples were allowed to continue on so the message would be carried forth. The fig tree writhed up and died never to birth another fig.
Sometimes we have to condition our mind to understand some situations and some people unwilling to move must be left, because even though it is not their time, it is our time.
That’s why many are called, but few are chosen.
My experience shows the chosen rely mostly on Faith and less on timing.
Faith in understanding being called has more to do with being willing than being ready.

Day 184: Precious Moments
I did not pick the planters pot.
I did not pick the seeds.
I did not determine the soil.
I did not lay the seeds in the chosen soil.
Nor did I pack the soil upon the freshly laid seeds.
I was not there for the germination stage.
I did not witness the first leaves grow.
At the time, I did not even know.
I was a little more than a small shrub back then.
The seeds became buds.
The buds fought to become flower,
Under all the April showers.
The flowers became fruit from the original root.
I felt like pollen with each passing bloom.
Or maybe the bee seen darting through the room.
I will never be the original potter.
I will never be able to recall the plants first blooms.
Yet, I do know how the plant became a tree.
I did witness the fallen leaves.
I did witness the painful struggles as one limb became two.
I did enjoy the transformation.
And, one day the trees’ seeds will create more plants with hopes of becoming bigger trees.
It is my experience with the circle of life.
Oh, what a wonderful life.

Day 183: Distinguished Mirage: Cause & Effect
The true liar convinces self – the lie is real.
The lie becomes so real it covers the truth.
Breathing fire does not make you a firefighter.
Do not spew venom and call it a cure.
Venom is poisonous and can lead to an infection.
The antidote cures the infected.
Know the difference.
Then live it differently.
And, your life will be different.

Day 270 – Meditation Series: The Essence of Light
Light is transformational. Jesus is the light of the world. He came, lived, walked, died, and through resurrection he transformed the world. He did. We are miniature version of Jesus in the Earth. We are thus, also light. Is your light hindering progression or transforming depression through elevation of your inner lighthouse. The light never diminishes. It is our lack of spring cleaning that covers the windows within from shining the light with-out.

Day 268 – Meditation Series: Signature Ring of Trust, Faith, Knowledge, and Character
My Alma Mater has a signature class ring. It is the only available version of the class ring to deserving graduates. At center rests a cross in an oval setting. On the left side of the cross the word truth begins the story of a Servant Leader. Immediately after the word truth rests the word faith. Directly beneath faith on the lower right hand section of the cross is the word knowledge. Adjacent to knowledge on the lower left hand side of the cross is the word character.
I have reflected countless times about the interlinking of these four words. My mediation produced: a trust in God creates an ability to have faith in God’s purpose. Inspired by faith in God, we gain knowledge of who God is, in us and throughout the universe. Through our knowledge of God, his seekers and actionaries show the character of God. We are Servant Leaders.
What does the composite of trust, faith, knowledge, and character mean to you?
