If I had never lived the life I did,
I would never be the person I am.

In life, we are constantly seeking some form of provisioning. At times, we do not even realize what we are seeking has already been delivered. We never quite know we found it, unless we stop long enough to see it come into fruition. The steps you take today may very well be the steps necessary to guide you into the place, position, or relationship you dreamed of yesterday.
Have you ever noticed the people you needed to see or hear from just happen to appear? Have you ever noticed how when the bank account registered insufficient funds the check you least expected arrives right on time? Have you ever really been in need and had the need fulfilled from a source you least expected?
Be purposeful in your steps and watch your steps guide you into your purpose.
This is an excerpt from my book, A Year in Thought: God’s Whispers. I felt compelled to share it today. I am eternally grateful for the purposeful journey occurring in my life.

New Leader
Originally written on August 7, 2010 and published on September 30, 2010
Who is the leader in your life?
There are many aspects of being a leader.
A leader is self-assured.
A leader is wise and leads by wisdom.
A leader is true, even when events would navigate weaker individuals down a different path.
A leader is solid on rocky ground.
A leader is sufficient, regardless of an insufficient system.
The leader in me needs to meet the new leader in you.
A leader is confident, in spite of their inner insecurities.
A leader is patient through every circumstance.
A leader is knowledgeable beyond what they see, because true leaders are visionaries and not “actionaries,” lacking vision.
A leader is peace in the midst of a storm.
A leader is forever seeking new inroads as they complete the current course.
A leader may not enjoy the journey, but learns from every rock, pebble, or split in the road.
The leader in me needs to meet the new leader in you.
A leader is a positive force in the electromagnetic field of elevation.
A leader is a negative reactor in the radioactive field of defeat.
A leader is the beacon the group holds on to when things bend from left to right.
A leader is the staple fixture of any entity.
A leader knows who they are and lives it out in actions dictated by their words.
A leader seeks the challenge of the situation for the purpose of the challenge.
The leader in me needs to meet the new leader in you.
A leader never questions the failure, but investigates the successes to learn how the failure was possible.
A leader can fix a problem better than they can cause a solution to develop into a problem.
A leader is in you.
A leader is in me.
A leader can be developed or revealed.
A leader can be installed or removed.
A leader never faints.
A leader never boasts.
A leader knows their source of strength and it does not come from without, but from within.
A leader knows their source.
The leader in me needs to meet the new leader in you.
In the end, a leader will seek the path of least resistance in order to achieve the path of greatest gain.
A leader is not set on a path, but committed to the journey’s lessons received by journey’s end.
A leader may never know that they led anything until the opportunity to recognize its completion is transformed into fruits of labor they never saw form.
Some leaders are born, while others are made possible through education, and even more are crafted by experiences.
Many leaders will never hold the title of leader, but live the life of a stationary. This is the mark of true leadership.
I have learned being a leader is not in what
I say.
I have learned being a leader is not in what you say about me.
I have learned being a leader is not in what
I think.
I have learned being a leader is not in what you think.
I have learned a leader seeks council from every member of their team, but trusts the inspiration from above.
The key in life is to learn to control the inner thoughts of your mind.
Once you learn to control your thoughts, you have conquered the power in your words.
Upon learning to control your words, you learn to navigate your steps towards a God inspired and perfected path to wholeness.
When you learn to control your steps, you learn to control your fate.
As you control your fate, you learn to control the journey.
Again, this ensures your learning along the journey of life is achieved through the leader in me as I learn from the leader in you.
Shalom,

Speaking as positive as possible, today was a great day. After all, it was Friday and a Good Friday indeed. Two, I got paid with a retroactive pay increase included. It was less than expected, but better than initially spoken by my manager. Three, I met a few interesting people along the way. Best of all, I am so looking forward to just relaxing tomorrow.
In fact, today was better than the rest of the week. I confess, I had holiday-itis “all” day, but nothing went undone.
Thanks be to God for seeing me through an extremely challenging week.
Happy Good Friday Everyone!
Blessings,
EYHCS

Prologue
Like most things in life, the first vision upon closer inspection bares light the more I focus. Throughout the course of stepping out on faith it continues to manifest in ways I did not visualize. I am grateful for recognition that too often a word from God is in part present, rooted in the past, and intended for the future. This becomes truer with each passing day.
When I began the HSCM series I held one focus that is shifting into something else entirely. I do not know what God is going to do, but I glad I am a joined participant in crafting of this series. Shortly after writing the introduction to this series I felt a strong need to seek confirmation on all that revealed itself. There were many signs and wonders unfolding before my very eyes. On one occasion, I spoke boldly and with authority to my mate about a Spirit of Cloaking in the atmosphere. Not just in our home life, but in everything. I spoke of a disruption to the communication channel causing strife, confusion, and all out hell in the lives of our circle of influence. I recall saying, “I don’t know why I am speaking to you like this as I never have before, but the Spirit within me will not allow me to do otherwise”. We talked for some time about what God had given me for this time. I emphasized clarity in what we say, see, and do. Throughout the week there were times the spoken word confirmed in my very household. Unnecessary arguments over superficial issues now transformed into thoughtful conversations about our understanding of the issues. We both made concerted efforts to check our response to the Word of God; it gave forth fruit, unimaginable and glorious fruit.
Confirmation came from every direction. One place that sets the foundation for this segment came from a post by a prophet who entered my life some time ago. Her Facebook post discussed a teaching given to me during our School of Prophets course probably close to a year ago on the Manifestation of God and the Voice of God. I admit when I read the post, there was a pause in my inner spirit. I did not feel convicted, but I also did not feel fully assured of anything in the moment. I left the post along after reading it several times and went on with my day. Throughout the day I would revisit the post, each time not fully affected enough to like or comment. Yet, the words of the post continued to flow in and out of consciousness. As I ready for bed, I reread the post and two things came through the Voice of God. I researched each individually.
The Manifestation of God is a concept in the Baha’i Faith referring to a name given to prophets. Understanding that a prophetic declaration of God without the Voice of God is noise and not God’s truth.
Now, the Voice of God or Ruha word of God at the core is considering the “breath of life” or “fresh wind” of God. It is the word spoken from God to his people, and guides his prophets, seekers, and children. The word or Ruha Word of God does not contradict the character of God, the word of God, and confirms itself outside of the silo experience. It is important to note the Voice of God just like the Word of God always confirms itself as truth. If it cannot be confirmed, it cannot be trusted. This concept is the foundational authority for this series and my life.
Setting the Atmosphere
Holy Spirit, I welcome you to the table. I seek your face, voice, guidance, tender provoking, and overwhelming presence for this moment and beyond. I know nothing can interfere with the process or disrupt the message in your presence. While I know who you are and who I am, I declare and decree the Ruha Word of God turns the light on the words to follow. I declare and decree the message flows forth and out unobstructed. I declare and decree that every subvert principality is forever banned from the table. Holy Spirit, I give you charge to rule the hour, day, and the very second of my life, without restraint. Amen.
Commentary
Two scriptures came from the Voice of God this week. I will address each as they came.
Ephesians 2:1-6
It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. (MSG)
For me, this passage refers to God’s unwavering design to ‘break every chain” of bondage in my life. The enemy would have me believe “sin” continues to revoke access to Christ. If indeed I am to believe Christ now sits on the right-hand side of God, and I do. There becomes a centralized issue with holding on to a wall that no longer exists. For one, any wall is indicative of a barrier. Barriers either keep something in or keep something out. Barriers exist literally or figuratively. Barriers appear transparent or opaque. Barriers come and manifest in many ways, but make no mistake barriers will always be an impediment to get access to something of value or protect against something harmful. Let’s return to my original thought. If we allow ‘sin’ to strangle our access to Christ than moving into understanding of who we are, becomes difficult to see.
Let’s pause for a moment. I do not know about you, but, I have no idea who you are or how you arrived here today, but glory to God that you have stumbled, crawled, or ran upon deliverance from the lie, sin has delivered to your life.
THE ENEMY IS A LIE!
SIN HAS NO POWER IN YOUR LIFE!
SIN IS THE RED HERRING IN THE ROOM!
I need a moment and perhaps you do too. Take as long as you need before moving forward. {Pausing}
I am back. The songwriter says, ‘the enemy cannot create life only God can do that”. So the next thing I must test is what attributes belonging to God have I accredited to the enemy. The answer today, NONE! Get this if you get nothing else. The last line of verse 6 says, “He picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.” Foretelling great things to come or more accurately already in play. Wow, that is a word! (Pausing … still pausing, still pausing)
There is something I understanding about the right-hand, there’s access, there’s power, there’s deliverance, there’s steady counsel, there’s unwavering rest and peace. That is most definitely where I need to exist. Thus, I declare, no more! No more transference of my rights to a principality incapable of creating their own.
The next scripture that dropped into my spirit was Galatians 3:19 – 22
Gal 3:19-22
19 What then was the purpose of the Law? It was added [later on, after the promise, to disclose and expose to men their guilt] because of transgressions and [to make men more conscious of the sinfulness] of sin; and it was intended to be in effect until the Seed (the Descendant, the Heir) should come, to and concerning whom the promise had been made. And it [the Law] was arranged and ordained and appointed through the instrumentality of angels [and was given] by the hand (in the person) of a go-between [Moses, an intermediary person between God and man].
20 Now a go-between (intermediary) has to do with and implies more than one party [there can be no mediator with just one person]. Yet God is [only] one Person [and He was the sole party in giving that promise to Abraham. But the Law was a contract between two, God and Israel; its validity was dependent on both].
21 Is the Law then contrary and opposed to the promises of God? Of course not! For if a Law had been given which could confer [spiritual] life, then righteousness and right standing with God would certainly have come by Law.
22 But the Scriptures [picture all mankind as sinners] shut up and imprisoned by sin, so that [the inheritance, blessing] which was promised through faith in Jesus Christ (the Messiah) might be given (released, delivered, and committed) to [all] those who believe [who adhere to and trust in and rely on Him] (AMP).
I have heard this scripture preached more than I can count on every extremity of my person and each time it brings a different point of clarity. Tracking with where I left off earlier, I would like to discuss the issue of the law.
The law spoken today from pulpits, classrooms, government agencies, and people of God revokes Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice and places the freed back into bondage. No more. I am liberated and no longer being abandoned by God’s ultimate promise of power and salvation. I am liberated and no longer looking over my shoulder for the next shoe to drop. I am liberated and no longer doubting my caretaker nourishes my soul and soothes my inner spirit. I am liberated and no longer in denial of my benefits of clarity, enjoyment, and hope in a brighter future, and assurances that even in my moments of troubles, I am no longer held in captivity. I am liberated and no longer believing the lies of the enemy who is forbidden from usurping my place in Jesus. I am simply freed.
Now, with the concept of allowance versus experience, a truth forms in the depths of my soul. A free person no longer succumbs to the rules of a corrupt tyrant. Let me affirm this truth literally. Prisoners follow the rules of the system. They must eat in captivity. They must sleep in captivity. They work in captivity. They must wait for visitation time in captivity. They must pray in captivity, if so inclined. They must wear captivity clothing. They are simply in captivity. Once freed from captivity, they are free to make these decisions for themselves. They eat their chosen nourishment. They sleep with or without the light on. They go where they dictate. They can visit wherever and whoever without placing them on a list for approval. They are no longer confined to shackles and move freely within the Earth without restraint. They learn for themselves truth versus fallacy. They acknowledge or disavow those things incompatible for their new life. They become people. The numbers on their back no longer name them by placement. Like the spoon, there are no numbers. This is the promise of what Christ has done for all those willing to acknowledge their freedom in him.
Allowing something and experiencing something is not interchangeable. The law and freedom are uniquely designed to meet different outcomes for your life. Vision relies on your optic nerve’s ability to process light. Consider for a moment, I can allow someone to steal my joy. Or, I can experience the pain and make a conscious declaration of no ill-effect. I can allow a situation to change my freedom into bondage. Conversely, I can experience the chains breaking off with a simple word to the almighty at the right-hand of God. I can reminisce about the lover who betrayed my love. Alternatively, I can experience the freedom of understanding the lover was ill-equipped to offer me anything beyond a lesson in sufficiency. I can allow the loss of a love one to debilitate my ability to move, speak, or return to life indefinitely. Or, after experiencing the grieving process fully, recognize I am still breathing with an inheritance to manage. I can allow external forces to dictate my very destiny, dreams, visions, beliefs, and trajectory forward. Proactively, I can experience the internal key intrinsically placed, to cast down all that invalidates my inheritance. No more, I declare and decree, I am getting every last drop of what comes from the heavenly of heavens. Including, but not limited to my inheritance fallen to the ground, in caves, under rocks, buried, or otherwise hidden from view. It is mine and I know it cannot be taken away, unless I give it away. No more!
I know a little about inheritance, maybe more than I realized before now. I concede there are things in me, I have yet to fully discover. I digress. An inheritance is a benefit once given cannot be rescinded without prior notification of the beneficiary. Parents who rescind their responsibility to the child are still required to financially support the child. Thus, leaving the child’s right to inherit their assets intact. Hallelujah! On insurance documents, beneficiaries joined to the benefactor once installed are the only one who can sign over their benefits to anyone else. Now, the scriptures above state, we have both an inheritance and insurance policy with Christ. With what I know today, ‘Why on Earth would I sign, decree, or declare such power to anyone outside of the agreement?’. I have in the past. Transparency requires my acknowledgement of this oversight in judgment and understanding. Yet, the beautiful thing about the past is two-fold. One, it is the past. Two, the effects of the past may linger, but my actions under the authority vested in me will mitigate their power.
In closing, Spirit of the Most High God, I declare and decree no longer will I reward an illegitimate power the right to my legitimate inheritance. When things come my way outside my understanding, I will seek your counsel for understand and wait for the Ruha Word of God. When I am wavering, I will call on the right-hand of God to steady me through the test. When the test is over and the testimony comes, I will glorify you in word and deed from the throne room. When I recognize your character being maligned, I will remain silent as long as it takes to receive clarity of the situation. When the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy me, my dreams, my visions, my inheritance. I will and do declare and decree. No more!
Disclaimer:
This confession moment is purposed and packaged a little differently than previous Confession Moments. Consequently, I will not be maintaining a 15 Words or Less limit approach. While this post is more of a therapeutic writing, it is a public declaration of some truths that bore light today in my life. Currently, there are seven HSCM segments planned. This is the introduction. In addition, this series will be heavily slanted to who I am in Christ, my teachings, and understanding of the Way.
In addition, there was a Confession Moment posted earlier this week, which you may have noticed received a name change. Upon further investigation, I needed to shift the atmosphere in line with the characteristics of God. Specifically,
1 John 1:5 – This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him. Gal 5:22 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (MSG)
Now, please allow me an extra moment to set the atmosphere, for what is to follow.
Having properly set the atmosphere, please find the introduction to my new series HSCM below.
Somewhere earlier in the week, a few weeks back, I noticed a loud whirling and humming sound coming from my vehicle. I took my car in for regular scheduled maintenance, most of it several months and in one case years past due. I had strategically mapped out the experience. An oil change, car wash, tire rotation, and one pre-ordered emblem later I was feeling rather content with my day. I had requested a timing belt quote, which for some reason I left without. Productivity was still the name of the day. I felt great.
The next day held similar promises of productivity or so I believed at the start of the day. Stay with me, I’m writing faster than I can think and slower than I type. I learned the emblem replacement in actuality required more steps than previously outline. An hour later, the advisor informed me it would need a shop visit. I was not inclined to follow his estimation of the issue, nor the five times the part quote for labor price tag. Still seeking a success fix. I moved to the next item on my list. Again, I left more frustrated than fulfilled. I am just now discerning there was a spirit of degradation to the communication channel in the midst.
I paused, but not for long. Normally, in these moments, I stop and talk to the Great I Am. This day was no different. Afterwards, I went on with my day leaving behind the heaviness in the air. Yet, it continued to plague me. I played music and communed with nature as much as the moment would allow. Descending upon my car the next morning, armed with my mini pink screwdriver and trusty tool pouch, I was prepared to conquer something that day. Thirty minutes later, the front end of my car on the ground, my emblem rested in place and secure. I praised him silently and perhaps publicity. I honestly cannot remember. I was grateful for the ‘breakthrough’. Although small in comparison to what was to come, it was indeed a ‘breakthrough’.
The next morning the whirling sounds seem to intensify. Hood popped, eyes focused, I surveyed the area. Power steering and master cylinder both registered full. Mental note to self, follow-up with mechanic about the timing belt quote.
Fast forward, today, while silent, the Holy Spirit urged me to check underneath the hood again. Alert, the power steering fluid was in a condition of lack. Pause. Still pausing… this is not a preaching moment, but a therapeutic moment. But, I see a word in what I just wrote. A quick beeline to my local auto store and my car is now purring. I promised a little happy dance that eventually moved into the upper room.
I have offered more than necessary, because I am still working this thing out as I write it out.
Here’s what I know in this moment with the warning, this is all subjected to change with a more enlightened perspective:
1) Sometimes, it is what it is. However, there are times where, it is what we allow.
2) The Spirit of Dominion
3) Trust your helper. If you are feeling uneasy, unusually tired or otherwise afflicted. Investigate.
4) The move of God brings out the enemy of God, but God is a way maker!
5) There is a spirit of cloaking in operation, pay extra attention to your words, thoughts, actions, environment, and overall being. (Re-verification is not a weakness, but a decree!)
6) Even is praise you must push through to discovery. Strike that, especially in praise you must push through to discovery.
7) What is purposed for you is purposed for you. Distractions and the length of time cannot remove the purpose. Hallelujah! (This is a personal victory moment!)
Today, these revelations came into being. It is essential to and for me, that I declare and decree purpose fulfilled in all things, at all times, and in every way. Stay tuned for more on this series. As I dissect them individually, I will bring my thoughts here. For me, this is truly an exercise of reflective thinking.
